This Slow Living retreat at Durward’s Glen will feature a casual, flexible weekend schedule, with plenty of relaxation, crafting, and art therapy time at your own pace with sprinkles of optional workshops, group discussion and delicious meals.

  • Friday: Arrival & Settle In

    1:00 pm to 6:30 pm: Arrive anytime between 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm to get cozy, settle in, and explore the property. You’re welcome to read, journal, nap, hike, or visit the Chapel.

    6:30 pm: Welcome to Durward's Glen, orientation, home-cooked supper, introductions and casual weekend intention setting workshop.

    7:30 pm to 8:30 pm: Cozy Evening - Explore the DIY arts & crafts stations, curl up with a book, indulge in the cozy beverage bar, start a new friendship, or snuggle into your private room early for extra rest.

    Saturday: Embracing The Art of Slow Living

    6:30 am - 9:30 am: Breakfast At Your Pace - Home-cooked breakfast when you’re ready! Practice Slow Living and embrace new habits.

    10:00 am: Heart Healing Workshop - Align your intentions with long-term Slow Living goals for a calmer, more centered life.

    12:30 pm: Lunch & Free Time - Fresh and healthy lunch followed by time for DIY arts & crafts stations (vision board creation, adult coloring, and hand-made card making)

    *Optional Historical Hike at 3:00 pm

    4:30 pm: Heart Healing Workshop - Align your intentions with long-term Slow Living goals for a calmer, more centered life.

    6:30 pm: Family-Style Supper to build connection and fulfillment

    Sunday: Slow Living & Departure

    6:30 am - 10:00 am: Start implementing your Slow Living goal with an intentional morning at your own pace.

    10:30 am: "The Midwest Goodbye" - Come together for one last group session to speak out loud your Slow Living goals and form connections.
