Retreat Accommodations

The Main Building
In September of 1935, the Main Building at Durward’s Glen, a log lodge structure, was constructed by the Order of St. Camillus and has been a spiritual sanctuary for almost 90 years! Today the Main Building includes 31 private rooms, kitchen facilities, a banquet hall, gathering rooms and our chapel.
-
The Artist's Cottage
Built in the Gothic architectural style by artist, painter, and naturalist Charles Durward, this authentic 1800s cottage has a private kitchenette, full bath, queen bed and two twin beds. With no WiFi access and minimal cell service, The Artist’s Cottage is a peaceful, private retreat space.
-
The Hermitage
Once serving as the Durward family art gallery, built of locally-quarried stone in the late 1800s, the Hermitage sleeps two comfortably on two twin beds on the second floor. The Hermitage includes electricity, but no running water. Public restroom and shower is located a short walk down the path. This is our most primitive and private accommodation.
