The Artist’s Cottage

Please note that the cottage was originally built in the 1800s, before many ADA requirements.

Due to historic preservation, this building is NOT handicap accessible.

Please reach out if you have any specific questions, we are happy to help and accommodate to the best of our ability.

The Artist's Cottage was built in the Gothic architectural style by artist, painter, and naturalist Charles Durward.

This 1800s home has a private kitchenette and full bathroom in the basement level. Up a steep, 1800s style staircase is a small dining area in the sunroom that overlooks the creek.

On the main floor is a bedroom with a queen size bed and sitting area with original windows. Up another steep set of stairs is a sleeping loft with two single beds.

Settled near the main building and next to Prentice Creek this cottage is quaint, rustic, and true to its 1800s architecture style with steep, winding staircases and tight quarters.

We hope you enjoy an authentic stay at our historic cottage that encourages more time outside exploring the grounds and listening to peaceful, nature sounds.
